PlayStation 4 CPU using AMD Turbo Core to go from 1.6GHz up to 2.75Ghz ?
For awhile there has been speculations about the 2.75GHz clock rate that showed up in the PS4 FCC Certification. Some speculated that it was just the clock rate of the Memory but today in a IGN PS4 review video the 2.75GHz clock rate has been shown to be the highest clock rate of the CPU with 1.6GHz being the base clock rate.
If you're wondering what's this all about I'll like to point you to AMD Turbo Core technology which push the clock rate up while using less cores to get the best performance out of the CPU when there is tasks that are better suited for higher clock rates but less cores.

Sony's Virtual Reality Head Mountable Display system Patent.
New Sony Head Mountable Display system Patent appears online for what is sure to be the rumored PlayStation 4 Oculus Rift rival. The HMD will also use the PlayStation 4 Eye for Augmented Reality & motion tracking.
You can check out the patent drawing below.
"HEAD MOUNTABLE DISPLAY SYSTEM
Abstract
A head-mountable display system comprises a head mountable display having a frame to be mounted onto an observer's head, the frame defining one or two eye display positions which, in use, are positioned for viewing by the observer. The frame comprises one or more shutters for obscuring the observer's view of the surrounding real environment and a display element mounted with respect to each of the eye display positions. The display element provides a virtual image of a video display of a video signal from a video signal source to the observer. An object detector detects the presence of an object within a detection range of the observer's head. And a controller controls operation of the head mountable display so as to allow the observer to view at least a portion of the surrounding real environment in response to detection of the presence of an object within the detection range.

PlayStation 4 Main Processor features a custom AMD x86-64 CPU & Next-Generation Radeon GPU
New PS4 Hardware Features video from SONY reveals that the PS4 Main Processor will be made up of a custom AMD x86-64 CPU & Next-Generation Radeon GPU.
You might be thinking no big deal we already knew what CPU & GPU is inside of the PS4 but that's not the case because before the CPU was thought to be made up of plain AMD Jaguar Cores but the new video reveals that the CPU is custom & the GPU is said to be a Next-Generation Radeon GPU, this could mean that it's from AMD next family of GPU's featuring GCN 2.0 much like what's rumored to be part of Kaveri APU's.
